About High Rock Security
Since 2002, we've brought calm, professionalism, and care to events and facilities across Nevada, California, Arizona, and Oregon. From intimate gatherings to major festivals, we've secured some of the West Coast's most recognised events and venues, including the Burning Man Project and UC Santa Cruz. We believe better results come through compassionate interactions, and that philosophy guides everything we do.
High Rock’s staff is cross-trained in many disciplines including access control, investigations, surveillance, martial arts, vehicle patrol, and first aid. Our team is selected for their observational and interpersonal skills. We respond to highly delicate situations with professionalism and discretion to prevent issues from escalating. We follow a non-confrontational philosophy. Although avoiding physical force is the goal, we will do what is needed to keep everyone safe.
We work in close cooperation with many agencies including local, state, and federal law enforcement, as well as medical and fire professionals.

Executive Team
Seth Schrenzel // Chief Executive Officer
With nearly 20 years of special event experience, Seth has been with High Rock Security since it’s inception, and has worked in event security and event medical since 2001. In addition, he has extensive experience in event traffic management and access control. He is passionate about the experience of our clients, our communities, and our employees.
Seth holds degrees in Political Science and Philosophy, has worked as an emergency room nurse, was a USAF firefighter, operates a successful pop-up pizza shop, and lives in Gerlach, Nevada.
Wally Bomgaars // Chief Financial Officer
Wally has worked in the security field since 1999. From 2008 - 2015, he was the Safety Manager for Burning Man, overseeing all safety and security-related departments at the event. Coming from the event world, Wally started High Rock Security with the vision of providing the best security for all clients, with an emphasis on mediation and community focus. Wally holds a degree in Business Management and is trained as an Emergency First Responder and in martial arts. Wally is also an experienced chef and a financial coach.
Michael Black // Chief of Staff
Michael, aka Crow, brings over 20 years of experience working security to High Rock. Crow is the Operations Manager of the Black Rock Rangers at Burning Man, and has 18 years of experience working as a public safety dispatcher in high traffic environments. He is an Emergency Medical Responder and a HAM operator, with training in martial arts, search & rescue, tracking, wildland firefighting, and as a Federal Law Enforcement Ranger.
